Not as much done as i would have hoped but some time spent with the Sambo is undoubtedly a good thing.
Think I have a good Grasp on LSA’s, area types and the like and have some great resources for review that I will print out and laminate.
OSPF is a beast and not something to be taken for granted and but defiantly gets the mind going.
I am now so looking forward to Re-distribution it is not funny!

2010/07/27 Day Update
Started doing 5 pages and lost all interest probably just not in the mood for reading!
So decided to hit the CBT's to take the edge of the subject.
Have now watched all the OSPF CBT's and think that i should be able to read the rest of the OSPF section Tomorrow.

2010/07/26 Day Update
Slow day!
Lots of LSA's the thing that makes OSPF tick.
need to pick up pace now i am through that part LSA's are so very dull it is hard to keep the mind focused.

2010/07/25 Day Update (pt2)
So Page 244 of 323 and quits for the night.
Half way through OSPFv2 chapter and i feel ok with it so far.
One thing that i will do is take a photo copy/print out the tables for Network type/config and get it laminate.
I think i should manage to read through 30 pages tomorrow and finish it off by Tuesday. Hit the CBT’s do a re-read of some of the chapter and get some config down. Do the test questions on Wednesday and see how things go.
I am keen to get EIGRP OSPF and Redistribution down by the end of this week.
We will see how it goes!

2010/07/25 Day Update (pt1)
So OSPF we meet again, you saucy minx!
At this point i will fess up to of playing with OSPF before about a year ago.
Close enough to remember her name but not close enough to call her in the morning.
Just covered 10 pages on the train so far think i will aim to get at least half way by end of play today (50ish pages) to go.
It has been writen very well in this book and has already removed my dred of the subject. FTW
"My Pace is better half dependant on the weekends but think should be ok"
Incidentally
Upgraded to CCME phone systems to IOS 15.1T and CME 8.0 this weekend and there is allot of nice new commands that save you a massive amount of time, as well as some gotchas. I think I will make a section for Random and throw my new CCME knowledge.

2010/07/24 Day Update (pt2)
A Late pt2 update for last night (fell asleep into book) so i continue.
Did all the EIGRP question's i had to hand and seem to be fairly consistent.
143/145 correct 98.6% i will check the 2 questions i dropped, but have a feeling 1 is wrong and the second i should of taken some more time on.
I feel i am at the point that i need to move on from EIGRP well at least the Academic part of it.
Some things I will be doing though:
1) Get the summery pages copied and laminated for quick reference.
2) Copy the EIGRP questions I can find into VCE format
3) start hacking through EIGRP labs when i get my new computer.

2010/07/24 Day Update (pt1)
Had a few beers after work last night and that sort of scuppered my plans.
With work today i am a bit behind fortunatly it was cisco stuff so not a Full write off! shame it was CCME and not routing :(
Will hit the books for a few hours do some prac'y questions and maybe a small lab.
Unfortunatly i have work tomorrow as well (more Cisco) but aslong as i use travel time correctly all is good.
